Nassim Soleimanpour is an independent multidisciplinary theatre maker from Tehran, Iran. His plays have been translated into 20 languages. Best known for his play White Rabbit Red Rabbit, written to travel the world when he couldn’t, his work has been awarded the Dublin Fringe Festival Best New Performance, Summerworks Outstanding New Performance Text Award and The Arches Brick Award (Edinburgh Fringe) as well as picking up nominations for a Total Theatre and Brighton Fringe Pick of Edinburgh Award. By the time Nassim was permitted to travel for the first time in early 2013, his play White Rabbit Red Rabbit had been performed over 1000 times in 20 languages. Since then Nassim has facilitated workshops and panels in different countries including World Theatre Festival (Brisbane), Tolhuistuin (Amsterdam), SESC Vila Mariana (Sao Paulo), Schauspielhaus (Vienna), DPAC (Kuala Lampur), Theatertreffen (Berlin), British Council (London), Asia House (London) and University of Bremen (Germany). Nassim’s second play Blind Hamlet for the London based Actors Touring Company premiered at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has since toured extensively around the UK and was received well in Bucharest and Copenhagen. His third play BLANK premiered in November 2015 at Dancing on the Edge Festival in Amsterdam and Utrecht followed by performances at Radar Festival in London.2017 saw the premiere of Nassim’s latest play, the eponymously titled NASSIM which features the playwright himself on stage. Co-produced by the Bush Theatre in London, the play premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to great acclaim, winning the prestigious Scotsman Fringe First Award. Tobie Openshaw is a filmmaker/photographer who has lived in Taiwan for 20 years.  His passion for storytelling has led him to film and travel from desert to city to jungle - shooting for channels such as Discovery, National Geographic, Al Jazeera, and the Weather Channel. Tobie’s current passion lies with the marginalized indigenous peoples of Taiwan, with whom he has launched several cultural exchange and development programs. In a previous life, South African-born Tobie was an award-winning theater director, and ran the publicity department at the National Theater of Namibia.  In Taiwan he frequently collaborates on live-performance events, and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Red Room Taipei Association. Jerome Keating Ph.D.Jerome F. Keating, author, trainer and consultant, is a sojourner on planet earth. He came to Taiwan with Bechtel Engineering in 1988 as Manager of Technology Transfer on Taipei’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) System and wondered if he would survive his two-year contract. The company promised a big fat bonus if he did, and the rest is history. “Way leads on to way,” says Frost in The Road Not Taken and so DeLeuw Cather International offered him the same position on Kaohsiung’s MRT. After that he was to join Morrison Knudson on the High Speed Rail, but financing fell through and the Japanese took that contract. Drat!Undaunted, he returned to an earlier university career teaching American and British literature, and finally retired as an Associate Professor from National Taipei University. This allowed another passion, writing.He finished three books on language learning, and four books on Taiwan’s history, its identity, its struggle for democracy and finally its mapping. The latter three have been translated into Chinese. His op-eds for the Taipei Times strongly advocate Taiwan’s democracy but it was his interest in art and theatre that brought him into contact with the indomitable Brook Hall and numerous interesting Taiwan personalities. A past actor in the TV series Dallas, and co-founder of a successful US community theatre, he appreciates the crazy dedication such takes. With his latest book, The Paradigms that Guide our Lives and Drive our Souls, he returns to sourcing the elusive meaning of life.
